Global Handwashing Day 2021 – “Our Future is at Hand – Let’s Move Forward Together”

October 15th is established as Global Handwashing Day to encourage people to wash their hands at critical times. Keeping our hands clean is a critical element that must not be overlooked, especially during this COVID-19 pandemic. Washing hands thoroughly helps protect you and your family from catching a disease. Handwashing is vital not only before eating, but also AFTER doing activities that involve getting your hands dirty, such as touching pets or animals, or after caring for someone in the hospital. You should also wash your hands before touching any part of your face, after you’re sneezing or coughing, and after leaving a public place or using a restroom, especially during this pandemic.
Using merely water to wash your hands will only bring in more bacteria onto your hands, so use soap and scrub it thoroughly for at least 20 to 30 seconds. Washing hands with water and soap is the most effective way to prevent contracting a disease or spreading germs to others. Wash your hands and tell others to do as well. Stay hygiene and stay healthy!
